Final Rites Thursday For Mrs. Amelia Karst
Funeral services for Mrs. Amelia Karst, 69, will be held Thursday at the Deines Brothers Funeral Home in Russell and at the American Lutheran Church in Milberger. Mrs. Karst died at about 7 p.m. yesterday at the Holiday Rest Home in Larned where she had been a patient for about one year.
Mrs. Karst, the former Amelia Keil, was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Milberger and was the first child to be baptized in that church. She was born Sept. 18, 1890. She was married to John Jacob Karst Dec. 3, 1911. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, Paul A. Karst, of Wilson, Albert C. Karst of Russell and Herbert B. Karst of Pratt; six daughters, Clara Earet and Elma Schneider of Kansas City, Esther Scheuerman of Milberger, Elsie A. Brack of Great Bend, Martha C. Brack of Russell and Doris Koch of Russell; two sisters, Mrs. Conrad baker of Oberlin, Kan., and Mrs. George Rein of Russell, and 14 grandchildren. One daughter died in infancy.
Final rites will be conducted by Rev. Albert F. Jungmeyer at 1 p.m. at Deines Brothers and at 2 p.m. at the American Lutheran Church in Milberger. Burial will be in the Russell Cemetery.
