LaPorte - Edward S. Allen, 84, a millwright, died Friday at home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery, Visitation 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements in cooperation: Earthman Funeral Home in Baytown.
Survivors: Wife of 54 years, Eulalie H. Allen; son, the Rev. James K. Allen of LaPorte; brother, LeRoy Allen of Mesquite and Robert Allen and Floyd Allen, both of Fort Worth, and Rev. John Allen of Granbury; and sister, Mary Ellen Glass of Fort Worth; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Ed Allen served as a machinist on board the USS San Jacinto battleship carrier from the time it left port May 3, 1944 until the end of the war.
