Margaret Wilhelmina Frahm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Frahm, was born May 15th, 1864, at Holstein Germany. She was baptized In infancy.

When four years old she came to America with her parents, settling near Danvers, III. Later they moved to the neighborhood of Gibson. She received religious instruction and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

March 27th, 1883, she was united in marriage to Mr. Henry Brandt. They made their home on a farm near Anchor, and in 1900 they bought a farm in Anchor township where they resided until five yearn ago, when they bought a home in Gibson and retired to that place. July 21st, 1919, Mr. Brandt passed away.

Mrs. Brandt had not been well for several years, but was very patient during her illness. She was a good mother to her children and also a good daughter to her mother, who made her home with her. Wednesday afternoon she suffered a stroke of apoplexy which left her in an unconscious condition. She passed away Friday evening at 6:45, aged 60 years, I month and 12 days.

Those who mourn her loss are her aged mother, Mrs. E. Frahm, and the following children: John Brandt of Idaho; Otto Brandt of Cropsey, Ill.; Louis Brandt of Saybrook, Ill.; Walter Brandt of Anchor, Ill.; Elsie Brandt of Anchor, Ill.; Mrs. Vernon Swaim of Elliott, Ill.; Albert Brandt of Anchor, III.; August Brandt of Anchor, Ill.; Herman Brandt of Gibson City, Ill.; WilhelmIna Brandt of Gibson City, There are also twelve grand-children and many other relatives and friends. One daughter, Daisy, died in infancy. Mrs. Brandt will be greatly missed by all who knew her, as she always showed a friendly welcome to everyone who came to her home. May she rest in peace.

The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock at the home, and at St. John's Lutheran church in Anchor township at 2:00 o'clock, In charge of the pastor, Rev, A. Hahn. Burial was in St. John's cemetery.
