Anchor, —Herman P. Brandt, 57, of Anchor died in Gibson Community Hospital at 1 p. rn. Feb. 12, 1959, after only a brief illness.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 in his Church, St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor, with the pastor, Rev. A. Youck, having charge of the services. Songs were by Mrs. Fred Bielfeldt and Mrs. Kenneth Cumpston, accompanied by Mrs. William Riecks.
Burial, arranged by Lamb Funeral Home, was in the Church cemetery. Pallbearers were Louis Lege, Merlin Inge, Fred Friday, Elmer Wilike, Louis Jones and Ralph Bielfeldt.
Mr. Brandt, the son of Henry and Wllhelmina Frahm Brandt, was born Sept. 13, 1901, southeast of Anchor. He graduated from Gibson City high school. He never married.
Mr. Brandt is survived by two brothers and three sisters, August Brandt and Miss Elsie Brandt of Anchor; John Brandt, Golconda, Ill.; Mrs. Vernon Swain Rantoul, and Mrs. Wesley Parker, Danforth.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Walter, Louis, Otto and Albert, and an infant sister.
