Services are set for the funeral
of Matthew J. Kisner, 71, 731 Second
Avenue S.E. who died at
Mercy Hospital Tuesday afternoon,
April 7.
The funeral is Friday, April 10
at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church
with burial in Woodlawn cemetery.
Friends may call at The
Brant Funeral Home after 7 p.m.
tonight, Wednesday.
A parish rosary will be read at
8 p.m. Wednesday at Brant
Funeral Home. At 8:30 that same
night, a Knights of Columbus
rosary will be read in the KG
hall for the retired railroad carman
who had lived in Oelwein
for 43 years.
Kisner is survived by 7 daughters,
Mrs. Kay Gaffney. Independence;
Mrs. Marie Satterlee, Independence;
Mrs. Mildred Selonke,
Chicago; Mrs. Helen Roth, Hazleton;
Mrs. Betty Egan, Oelwein;
Mrrs. Theresea Fink, Oelwein;
and Mrs. Anna Hyde, La Cross,
Washington; 4 sons, Matthew, Joseph,
John and Larry, all of Oelwein;
58 grandchildren and 8
great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers
and 4 sisters. His wife preceded
him in death
