Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for Mrs. Mary S. Porubsky, 82, 542 E. Gordon, who died Thursday morning at a Topeka hospital.
She was born Feb. 18, 1896 at Pfeifer, Russia. She came to Topeka in 1906 where she spent the rest of her life.
She was employed by Seymour Foods for 35 years until her retirement in 1958. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the church Altar Society.
She was marred to Joseph Porubsky Oct. 5, 1915 at Topeka. He died Nov. 6, 1940.
Survivors include three sons, Edward Porubsky, 1326 Arter, Walter Porubsky, 6142 N.W. Rochester Road, and Joe Porubsky, 2800 Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Marie Brown, 535 E. Gordon, and Lucille Porubksy, 542 E. Gordon; one brother, Joe Kisner, 548 Sardou; three sisters, Anna Bellinder, Oelwein, Iowa, Marie Miller, 829 Green, and Catherine Sommers, 516 E. Gordon; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Porubksy will lie in state after 2 p.m. Friday at Davidson-Duff Funeral Home, where rosaries will be recited by the Altar Society at 7:30 p.m., Friday, parish rosary at 8 p.m. an Knights of Columbus Council 2608, rosary at 8:30 p.m.
