Mrs. Anna Bellendier of 726 2nd Ave. SE, Oelwein, died shortly after midnight Tuesday at Mercy Hospital, Oelwein. She was 78.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart gymnasium with the Rev. Richard Kuhn officiating. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hintz Funeral Home, Oelwein, where a rosary will be recited Thursday at 8 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, Andrew Bellendier; four sons, Jerome Bellendier of Williamsville, N.Y., Paul Bellendier of Independence, Edward Bellendier of Harbor City, Calif., and Andrew Bellendier of Maquoketa; four daughters, Mrs. William (Anna) Scanlon of Clinton, Mrs. William (Agnes) Weissinger of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. LeRoy (Mary Ann) Mahoney of Masonville, and Mrs. H.J. (Frances) Wendling of Independence; 26 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Kisner, and two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Sommers and Mrs. Marie Miller, all of Topeka, Kan.
