LIVERMORE, KY - G. R. BARR, 68 years old, died Friday, after an illness of several months. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mack Knott Barr, six sons, Garrett, Roland, Robert, Charles and Denis Barr, of Livermore, and Martin Barr, of Sorgho; five daughters, Mrs. Urey Thompson, of Browns Valley; Mrs. Joe Crowe, Mrs. Raymond Higdon, of Owensboro, Mrs. Paul Drury, Stanley, Mrs. Hugh Rhodes, of Reed; twenty grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. H. G. Vessels, of Rhodelia. The funeral was conducted from St. Charles Catholic church at 9:30 o'clock Monday morning, mass being said by Father McGee, of Brown's Valley. Burial was in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Brown's Valley. Pallbearers were: William Mitchell, James Brown, C. B. Rouse, Joseph Wink, C. R. Hayden and Henry Fisher.
