MRS. ELLA M. BARR, 84, widow of George Rolan Barr, died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Urey Thompson, Browns Valley, Ky. She was born Sept. 1, 1876, at Payneville, Ky., the daughter of Martin Knott and Jennie Payne Knott. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Browns Valley. She is survived by five sons, Garret, Roland, and Martin, all of Daviess County, Charles, Rome, Ga., and Denis, U. S. Navy; five daughters, Mrs. Frank Payne, Mrs. Urey Thompson, Mrs. Paul Drury, Mrs. Hugh Rhodes, and Mrs. Raymond Higdon, all of Daviess County; 69 grandchildren; 93 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Knott and Proctor Knott, both of Daviess County; three sisters, Mrs. Sherman Howard, Daviess County, Mrs. Joseph Wilberding, Norwood, Ohio, and Sister Rosalia, Maple Mount. The body is at the Owensboro Funeral Home where funeral arrangements are incomplete.
