Therese Margaret (Barr) Higdon, 92, formerly of 1532 Linden Avenue, Owensboro, died July 18, 2007 at her home. She was born March 2, 1915 in Daviess County to the late George R. and Ella Knott Barr Higdon. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, art and crafts, and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Higdon, six brothers; five sisters; a daughter, Claudette Zoglmann; and a daughter-in-law, Joan Higdon. Surviving are her daughters Fay Higdon of Owensboro, Dottie and her husband, Ron Coomes of Owensboro, Ky.; Doris and her husband, Gary Robichaud of San Francisco, sons Bill and his wife, Dean Higdon of Moscow, Tenn., Bob and his wife, Francil Higdon of Hartford, Larry and his wife, Jean Higdon of Dugger, Ind., Joe and his wife, Nancy Higdon of Cedarburg, Wis., Leon and his wife, Rachel Higdon of Owensboro; a son-in-law, Joe Zoglmann; a brother, Charles Barr of Bradenton, Fla., 25 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, and a special niece, Modesta Drury. Mass services are at 10:00am. Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Precious Blood Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Browns Valley. Visitation is from 2 to 8pm. Friday and from 8 to 9:30am. Saturday at the funeral home. Prayers will be said at 7:00pm. Friday. Rev. Brad Whistle will be officiating. The family requests expressions of sympathy in the form of donations to Precious Blood Building Fund.
